ANOTHER EXCURSION

Following on from the previous post I see that last evening an A320 inbound from Barcelona veered off the runway on landing at Paris Orly (http://avherald.com/h?article=433e6153&opt=0). Nosewheel in the dirt this time but mercifully no casualties once again. It is interesting that veer-off excursions are almost as common as overruns (IATA accident data 2004-2009) but ICAO have no standards for runway verges in terms of dimensions and bearing strength... do they?
